The drone has completed multiple test flights, China Central Television (CCTV) News reported.
Long Bamboo, a company based in East China's Fujian Province, developed the technique that preserves the bamboo's tough outer layer and allows different parts with different densities of the material to be used according to their properties, improving its overall performance.
In the past, the outer skin of bamboo was often treated as leftover material and eventually burned into low-value bamboo charcoal.
According to a company release in February, bamboo-based composites now make up more than 25 percent of the entire drone, while its fuselage skin is made entirely from the company's own high-performance bamboo composite material.
The bamboo-based material also offers a major cost advantage, costing only about one-quarter to one-tenth as much as aviation-grade carbon fiber. After the drone is retired, the material can naturally degrade, allowing it to effectively "come from nature and return to nature."
The team spent four years building data models, upgrading equipment and refining the material. The resulting drone has a wingspan of more than 2.5 meters but weighs only about 7 kilograms, and has already completed multiple test flights, according to CCTV News.
Bamboo was traditionally used mainly in products such as tableware and furniture. Now, however, the material is finding its way into a wider range of industrial applications. Bamboo fiber is being used in automobile interiors, while bamboo-based materials are also being explored as possible substitutes for plastics, glass fiber and carbon fiber in some applications.
China has the world's largest bamboo resource base, with about 7.56 million hectares of bamboo forests nationwide. The country also ranks among the world leaders in bamboo resources, bamboo cultivation technologies and the development and utilization of bamboo materials, per CCTV News.

B | 男子继续追问什么牌子，游客回"大疆"后轻声提醒："不要影响我拍照"。就是这句再正常不过的拒绝，点燃了对方。男子瞬间变脸："这个拍照有意思吗？你拍照影响我跑步"，勒令游客把相机"拿走"，"这是行人道，滚"。女游客连连道歉："我的错我的错"，对方却步步紧逼、堵住去路，持续辱骂长达5到6分钟。

C | 游客慌乱中说"大哥我错了，我给你跪下行吗""大哥我求你了，你放过我行吗"，男子仍怒吼"报警""我今天不可能放过你"。

D | 事后该男子还录了道歉视频，自称"在滨海大道跑了20年步的跑步爱好者"，说当天是女游客把拍摄杆放在跑道中央，自己"跑步时有些莽撞"。

别再玷污跑者这件事最刺眼的，不是一次简单的口角，而是当事人把"我在跑步"当成一种特权，你跑步，整条步道都是你的吗？别人连拍照的资格都没有？这行为，不单是对女游客的冒犯，更是对跑者的侮辱！跑步是一项磨炼意志、锤炼体能的运动，大多数跑者都比较自律，比较文明，往往是一些少数人，在玷污跑者的形象。2025年苏州马拉松，2.5万名跑者文明参赛，整座城市以热情和诚意迎接全球跑友，却要为少数人的不文明买单。

E | 公共步道不专属"老熟人"青岛海之恋公园，那条步道十分宽阔，当时周边行人稀少，客观上并没有堵住通行。男子口中的"违规占道"，其实就是情绪暴发之后找出的借口。

F | 公共步道的属性很明确，向所有人开放。在这里跑步可以，停下来驻足拍照同样也可以。没有任何一条规定写明，这条步道只专供跑步爱好者通行，禁止游客停留取景。男子口中那句"我在这里跑了几十年步"，你是这里的熟人，但不是你的私人领域。我国2026年1月1日起施行的新修订《治安管理处罚法》第五十条明确规定：公然侮辱他人，处五日以下拘留或者一千元以下罚款；情节较重的，处五日以上十日以下拘留，可以并处一千元以下罚款；以滋扰、纠缠、跟踪等方式干扰他人正常生活的，同样适用该条款。跑者不该背锅我们必须把话说透：青岛这名男子，不能代表跑者。

G | 每天清晨在公园、在绿道、在滨江大道上奔跑的数以万计的跑友，绝大多数都是守法、克制、与人为善的。他们让开散步的老人，减速避让嬉闹的孩子，对镜头里的陌生人报以微笑。青岛在这里跑步的跑者，不该为一个情绪失控者的暴戾买单。正因为跑步圈是一个共同体，每一次"跑者"身份的滥用，都是在消耗整个群体的信用。当一个人借"我在跑步"去霸凌一条公共步道，用"跑步20年"来为辱骂6分钟开脱？跑者不答应！遇到此事怎么办？

出门在外，遇到情绪失控者怎么办？这事也给所有独自出游的人提了个醒：第一，见势不对立刻抽身。对方情绪一上来，停止沟通就是最好的沟通，适当服软不丢人。第二，尽量往人多处靠。一个人出行，要确保自己始终在"被路人看得见"的范围内。第三，悄悄开启录音录像。
